OPL “Teaching” Diffraction Grating Spectroscope

This handheld spectroscope is a tool used to observe the absorption spectra of transparent colored stones. Different gemstones absorb specific wavelengths of visible light and the spectroscope is used to compare the absorption patterns to distinguish and identify a gem species.

In our opinion these are the best spectroscopes, we recommend the teaching one over everything else as it has a large eye piece that makes observation easier.
